In addition, the individual will lead one or more interdisciplinary teams in using scientific methods to collect and synthesize information to provide evidence about the health and economic value of our products. The scientist will be responsible for developing cost-effectiveness and budget impact models to project the impact of drugs and vaccines on patient outcomes and costs. Working with the local subsidiaries, the candidate will adapt these economic models to support national, regional and local reimbursement and market access needs. The candidate will also assess the need for and incorporate economic outcome measures in the clinical development plans. The candidate will collaborate with the clinical team in the design, analysis and reporting of economic data from these randomized clinical trials.
The individual will also mentor others in the department on technical issues related to model development and in conducting economic evaluations alongside clinical trials. The Senior Principal Scientist is expected to identify and pursue solutions to methodological issues arising from the conduct and analysis of economic studies.
