The role you’ll contribute:
The Acute Care Receptionist works under the supervision department nursing leadership to assist with daily non-clinical activities including but not limited to telephone systems management, greeting and screening patients, families upon arrival to the department(s), assisting patients and families in wayfinding, and answering general questions, as appropriate. This role orders and managers unit supplies, coordinates patient nutrition needs for the department, assist in maintaining the patient logs and transporting lab or pharmacy materials to and from the department as needed. The Acute Care Receptionist actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

•Answers/screens incoming calls, taking messages and routing calls as appropriate.Retrieves voice messages as requested.
•Greets and assists visitors.Professionally represents AdventHealth in all communications and communicates effectively and appropriately based on visitor needs and age level.
•Provides administrative support including supply orders and maintaining spreadsheets, files, equipment, etc.
•Assists department with the transport of materials to and from other areas of the hospital.
•Supports department with special requests including research, projects, and other miscellaneous duties.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
•Six months of prior customer service experience in a healthcare-related setting.
Preferred qualifications:
••Formal education in Social Sciences and/or Healthcare.
