The UC Davis Medical Group Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and planning of strategically important recruitments and communicating with key stakeholders in the SOM Departments, Recruitment Center, UCDMG Planning Committee, Ambulatory Care, Academic Personnel, Human Resources, and other l stakeholder groups. The project manager will be responsible to guide and monitor workforce planning efforts and other access related projects to keep efforts on schedule and monitor and control related work. The Project Manager will support, monitor, and manage key projects for Operations, Finance, Planning and ad hoc Committees and Task Forces, under direction of the UCDMG Director of Operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience with healthcare operations.
In-depth ability to work with senior staff and managers across departments, serving as a technical leader and information resource in project planning and support, and providing recommendations and advice on UCDMG Committee projects and initiatives, business and workflow issues, and industry trends and advances.
Knowledge and experience with Project Management systems and analytics.
Skills to assimilate data sets to develop data findings, conclusions, and recommendations to track, monitor, and control project work.
Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Visio, and presentation software (Power Point).
Advanced problem-solving skills analytical ability, and in-depth knowledge of documentation and reporting, with the ability to run highly complex queries and studies, to collect and analyze financial and performance
Analytical, statistical and mathematical skills to conduct quantitative analysis with a high degree of accuracy.
Advanced organizational and project management skills, and ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and see projects through from inception to completion on schedule.
Advanced interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead projects and teams and collaborate productively on highly complex projects with key personnel at all professional and technical levels.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification via Project Management Institute (PMI).
MHA/MBA/MPH.
Academic medical center/health system experience.
Broad understanding of health care operations.
Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software.
Experience with MS Project or other PM Software.
Special Requirements
